Tom Andrews, Lead Pastor
Pastor Tom Andrews leads His Church's Mission: Make Disciples - Plant Churches. Under his visionary leadership, His Church has grown spiritually, numerically, and in its commitment to God’s mission.
The vision began while Pastor Andrews attended Apostolic Bible Institute (ABI) in St. Paul, Minnesota. There he received his call to ministry and felt God showed him that he would plant a new church in Minnesota. Also, at ABI he met fellow student Dianne Anderson who would become his wife and partner in ministry.
After graduation from ABI in 1986, Pastor Andrews returned to his home state of Indiana to begin his ministry. It was ten years before he got the opportunity to plant a church. During that time, he served as a youth pastor and also gained business experience as a partner in a fixed asset liquidation company.
The call to plant a new church in Minnesota was a huge step of faith. He left his church and friends in Indiana and moved his young family to Winona. After seeing God do many great things in Winona and working as a bi-vocational pastor for nearly seven years, Pastor Andrews was called to serve as the full-time pastor at His Church in November 2001.
In November 2013, His Church paid off the mortgage on its current facilities, making the way for new opportunities. In November 2015, Pastor Andrews led a team from His Church to join volunteers from two other churches to build a church in the Dominican Republic.
Pastor Tom enjoys reading, playing the trumpet, fishing, and backpacking.
He names his wife, two sons, daughter, daughter in-law, granddaughter and grandson as his most precious gifts from God.
